Website guide · Medical clinic

A website for your medical clinic.

Patients visit a clinic's website to find out whether you treat their problem, which doctor to see, when you're open and how to get an appointment. A medical website should be calm, accurate and accessible, and follow your medical council's rules on advertising.

Design yours now — the brief is ready

A calm, accessible website for a multi-speciality clinic: a hero with Book an appointment and tap-to-call buttons, specialities with plain-language descriptions, doctor profiles with qualifications and consulting days, a visiting information page with what to bring, a clear emergency notice, and our insurance partners. White, soft blue and green colours with large, readable, high-contrast type.

What a clinic website needs

The sections worth building, and why each one earns its place.

  1. Specialities and services

What you treat and which tests or procedures you offer, in plain words. Patients often search by symptom or condition.

  2. Doctors

Names, qualifications, registration, specialities and consulting hours. Patients choose a doctor as much as a clinic.

  3. Appointments

Online booking, a request form or a phone number that gets answered, with each doctor's consulting days.

  4. Visiting information

Hours, location, parking, what to bring (reports, ID, insurance details) and whether you take walk-ins.

  5. Emergency guidance

If you're not an emergency service, say so, and tell people where to go and which number to call in an emergency.

  6. Insurance and payments

Which insurers or panels you work with and how billing works.

  7. Patient information

How to prepare for tests, aftercare instructions and health information reviewed by your doctors.

Tips that get more people to act

  • Design for accessibility: large readable text, strong contrast and simple navigation. Many patients are older or unwell when they visit.
  • Show each doctor's consulting days next to the booking button.
  • Date your health articles and review them, so patients know they're current.
  • Make the phone number tap-to-call on every page.

What to avoid

  • Patient testimonials or claims of cures where your medical council's rules restrict them.
  • Collecting detailed medical history through an ordinary web form.
  • Medical terms without an explanation.
  • Doctor schedules that are out of date.

Common questions.

3 answers, each one complete on its own. Search them, or ask us directly.

  1. Specialities and services, doctor profiles with qualifications and consulting hours, a way to book, visiting information, an emergency notice, and insurance details.

  2. It depends on your medical council. Several regulators, including India's, restrict doctors from using testimonials or making promotional claims, so check the current rules before adding any.

  3. Use readable font sizes, strong colour contrast, clear headings, descriptive link text and alt text on images, and make sure everything works with a keyboard and a screen reader. The WCAG guidelines are the standard way to check.
