Taste · CLI

Install Taste with npx @sketchxflow/tasteui.

Our own CLI, new in October 2026. Components, blocks, sections, heroes and screens are free and need no login. Originals and templates come with SketchXFlow Starter: log in once and the same commands install them too.

01

Set up your project

Once per project, in any React app on Tailwind CSS v4. It adds your theme to your stylesheet and the cn() helper. Pick your colour on Taste to get the command with your system in it.

Terminal
npx @sketchxflow/tasteui init

02

Add anything

Terminal
npx @sketchxflow/tasteui add button
npx @sketchxflow/tasteui add ink-toggle

Files land in components/taste/. Every item's page shows its command; npx @sketchxflow/tasteui list shows every name.

03

Log in for Starter items

The Originals' code and templates need SketchXFlow Starter or above. This opens sketchxflow.com in your browser; once you're signed in, the terminal gets a key on its own — nothing to copy.

Terminal
npx @sketchxflow/tasteui login

04

Advanced: a key by hand

For CI, a machine without a browser, or other registry tools. Most people don't need this.

Checking your account…

  • A key lasts 30 days; make a new one here any time. It is shown once and not stored on this page.
  • Originals and templates work while you are on SketchXFlow Starter or above: cancelling the plan turns them off, even with a live key.
  • Set it as SKETCHXFLOW_TOKEN in CI, or keep it in .env.local and out of git. It is the same key the Figma and Framer plugins use.
